Oscar-winning film’s choir performs at Arena Mall, Budapest

The Bakáts Music Elementary school’s choir — around which the plot revolves in the Oscar-winning Hungarian short film ‘Sing’ — is performing today at 5:50 pm at Cinema City, Arena Plaza, Budapest.

The free event is held under the auspices of the Hungarian Film Week, which spans from February 27 to March 5, dedicated to promoting Hungarian film and bringing them closer to the public. The main sponsor of the event series is the Hungarian Film Academy Association.

According to choir director Monika Molnar (who, by the way, is not the same as actress Zsófia Szamosi portraying the character in the film) the short concert is a celebration of the highest recognition the film managed to garner.
